It's involuntary!
Jun. 4th, 2006 10:37 pmToday, I shall share my misery and woe. ^_^ I wish to God that menstruation was voluntary, because then I'd never volunteer to have it. *horrible crampy pains of dooooooom!* Also, besides un-paining me, I might be able to avoid dropping ninety percent of whatever I pick up. Seriously, shopping with the dropsies is horrible. I'm just lucky I didn't want to look at anything glass. As is, I've managed to introduce several items to the ground: a pair of flip-flops, six books, a metal cd case, three pillows, a sheet set, a candle, and an air freshener... all in the same store. Seriously, there's something not right about that.
What else did I do this weekend? I almost cried a lot-- another reason I'd not volunteer. An effing children's video game made me weep... Pikmin 2, for those interested. And Shrek (1+2) made me sad, and FF7: Advent Children, and the Gargoyles series. Basically, everything I attempted to watch. *rolling eyes*
I did end up doing some shopping. ^_^ I got three new manga: Saiyuki 9; Saiyuki Reload 1; Gravitation 11; and a 'real' book: Lirael, by Garth Nix. I zipped through the manga and I'm working slowly on the book. I also got a couple dvds and some (read LOTS OF ^.^) candy. I combed the department stores for new sheets, but I didn't have any luck. I want at least 300 count, 100% cotton. It can be Pima, Egyptian, or nondescript, but it must be cotton... Although, I was tempted by the 100% bamboo fiber sheets, but I was worried they'd be too hot. I almost got black sheets, but again, I was concerned with the heat thing. That's the same reason I didn't get the 100% beech sheets. I couldn't find a color I liked, and I refuse to pay $27 dollars to get the same color and thread count in a pillowcase. Honestly, I think pillowcases should be the cheapest part. I mean, if a flat sheet is $10 and a fitted sheet is $10, the pillowcase (a singular pillowcase) should not cost more than the two sheets combined! Pillowcases should be like... $5 each, starting in the 300-count range. If there are two in a package, it should be $10, not $30.
All right. Enough ranting about linens! I must go get my laundry before someone steals it. XD
~Ciao!
