*brilliant thought*
Dec. 10th, 2007 02:15 pm I've been seeing a lot of romanticized cliches lately. I think that I shall make it my goal to un-romanticize them. What does this mean in practical terms, though, given that I'm being so vague? I'm going to use the words like nature intended. ^_^
Example: "washboard abs" would actually, at some point, be used as a washboard.
I think this would be quite funny, and in some cases, challenging to pull off. (But first, I'm probably going to have to write down all the cliches I see. )
EDIT: Because I am a doofus and forgot to put something in my original, short post
Also! I bought a hot-topic worthy messenger bag today. It is black, with multi-colored stars on it in colors like electric blue, lime green, magenta, and orange. (I laugh because it is a dickie's brand bag.) I'd feel shame except I like it very much. ^_^ I waited three weeks to make sure I really wanted to buy it. When I went into the store today, it was the only one like it left. I thought to myself: "It is the work of Destiny, to supply me with the bag I truly desire! Surely I must acquire it!" So I bought it...only I got hung up at the register because the only tag on it was a little sticker with the clearance price on it. No barcode in sight. They had to call the department to get a number for it.
I'm such a shopping whore lately...but at least I have a bit of money to spend these days. (Unlike the past six months or so...)
