Brilliance!

I've just spent the last hour diddling with my new printer, and I've discovered to my absolute delight, it does OCR stuff! ^_^ I heart technology. (I did have to completely uninstall and reinstall the software to get it to work right, but it works now!)

Now I'll be able to scan in printed documents as documents, so I won't be stuck re-typing stuff I've already typed, which is so amazingly wonderful. I'm going to have to test it tomorrow, see how well it works. I remember when I first encountered the OCR software, and the recognition/resolution sucked. I'd have a bajillion errors to correct after scanning a page of text. I tried out a weensy little page tonight to make sure it worked, but I didn't really...challenge the application.

Also tomorrow, I'm going to try out printing photos, see how accurate the color is.
