I'm having one of those moments where I'm kicking myself for having so many unfinished stories. I did a headcount last night and came up with six unfinished Saiyuki stories, eight unfinished Weiss, a handful of other stories in other fandoms, and over three dozen originals. Three dozen. That's a lot.
And, having briefly cruised through some of them, I found that I liked them--hence, the self-administered kicking. Why did I ever stop writing them? Why couldn't I just buckle down and do more/finish them off? Maybe it's time to revisit the back burner...but where to start? Argh. Too many choices!
In particular, my interest seems to be caught on the Weiss stories. I haven't done any Weiss for a while. I've got the unfinished French decadence Weiss, the WWII Schuldig war-bride one, the topsy-turvy Brad-as-hooker one, the Schuldig perspective one, the enormous Kenna-inspired Aya/Yohji arc (which counts as several stories, really)...I know I've missed several, but these are the ones that come to me right off.
Speaking of Weiss: I know there's a good amount of Saiyuki sci-fi fics out there. I kind of wondered if there were any Weiss. I haven't done a lot of digging around to see. I know that there's a lot of canon-esque stories, just because the canon is so insane and full of holes, and there's a lot of modern life AUs out there as well. I'd like to see some sci-fi. Wouldn't it be cool? ^_^ Weiss, crammed into a tiny space ship! Schwartz doing evil across entire galaxies! Robots and laser pistols and Masafumi's giant scary cloning lab located on a creepy asteroid...which, come to think of it, isn't that far from the truth. (If you know of any, rec away!)
Ahem. Anyway. I may get to tinkering with older stories later, or I may ride the sci-fi train and work on Visitors for a while, even though it's Saiyuki, not Weiss. I've got to do some outside-the-house stuff this afternoon, but there's no telling what I might do once the sun goes down. ^_^
