new keyboard equals fics fix?

It's way easier to write fic when you have a little time and a little space, don't you think?

After discovering how long it had been since I worked on any of my fics, I've been really focused on actually doing something! I don't really have a defense, except mashed that I had absolutely no clue it has been two years since I last posted regularly. (I'm still half convinced that it couldn't have been that long and they I've somehow miscounted.)

Anyway. I've been scribbling furiously this week, and have finally branched out to using my old, slightly broken laptop in my bedroom for bursts of typing because it's the only place I can write that's in the house but out of the main flow of traffic. I haven't been doing this before because it's a twelve year old laptop with...six non functioning keys and a broken exhaust fan which causes it to get hot fast and requires a lot of cool down time. (plus,the chair that's at the desk with it is mega uncomfortable for more than twenty minutes of sitting.) I's a good day when I can run it for ninety minutes at a time. But! I've gotten a USB keyboard for it, so I am trying my best to make it work!

All this is a vast improvement over the way I was doing things. I may actually finish the next chapter of Other Fruits sometime this century!

I'm excited to share with all of you, but I don't know if I want to share in progress or not until I'm done.
