The Big List
Aug. 1st, 2010 10:04 pmOkay. I thought, to better motivate myself, I'd do a big list of stories (okay, just the fanfics on this list) I'm working on. And maybe a snippet or summary of each, to remind me why I started the stories in the first place. I'm going in chronological order, more or less.
1. Entropy: Naruto AR; Kakashi and Sasuke centric. I'm up to 55,000 words edited and posted and...like eighteen months of writing it (fourteen of which were steady writing: like working on it every day steady.)
2. Two If By Sea: Saiyuki AU; Hakkai and Gojyo centric. Mermaids and magic and evil sea creature!Ukoku. This one's super fun and kind of easy to write. I've been working on it since what? March, I think? Maybe April. Anyway, it's creeping up to 15,000 words long already.
3. Two untitled Saiyuki shorts, both attempting to be canon. One is about Sanzo and his newspaper-reading. The other was going to be relatively pointless comfort-sex between Gojyo and Hakkai. They're both stalled out at a couple pages long, and I haven't done anything more than glance at them since April.

4. The paragraphs-long Naruto fic (Kakashi/Sasuke) using tomcats as a metaphor for their behaviors around one another.

5. The WWII-era Weiss Kreuz story, featuring Schuldig as Crawford's war bride. I make assumptions that they are both older than they look, as this is supposed to be some crazy backstory to the Schwartz we all know and love. (I know. It's insane. Also, I changed the spelling of Schuldig to Schuldich because it fit better in the story.)

6. An AU Weiss Kreuz story, in which Crawford starts out as a hooker. (No, really. I've seen a lot of Schuldig prostitution, but not Crawford, and it made me wonder how/if one could do it convincingly. I'm not entirely sure I've managed it.)

7. And also, the AU Saiyuki rockstar story. Heh. Almost forgot about that one, though it's kind of the most recent...Everyone seems to love roadie!Jeep and I have to agree, but I'm still not sure why he's so cool. XD
And so...those are the stories that are, at least, a couple paragraphs along that I either am currently serious about or hope to become so. I'm not bothering putting in all the random plot bunnies that I've got laying around. I'm thinking the Weiss ones look like an awful lot of fun. Plus, they would give me an excuse to use my three years' worth of high school German--and my English-to-German-to-English dictionary. ^_^ That's come in surprisingly handy over the years.
