More Rockstar!Saiyuki

Hmm. It's not quite one week since I posted the first bits of this. I didn't expect to be back so soon with. It's been kind of growing on me, though I admit the story kind of lacks overall cohesion; it's at that life-in-the-day stage where you've got some scattered scenes here and there, and nothing to connect them in between. I don't know. Maybe it works better as a not-really-connected arc? You decide.

As for the reasoning behind the name of the band, I did a wee bit of research. According to the internet, that's spoken Sanskrit for "free from rebirth." I thought it was fitting and kind of ironic, considering this is an AU that I've written them into and have been rebooting/reincarnating the characters...

I'm probably giving you all headaches out there, having written this from different perspectives and two different tenses to date (though I try to keep to just one perspective and one tense per fragment.) I know I haven't done much with Goku so far, either, but I've got something in the works for him right now. I honestly find him difficult to wrap my head around. He's just so darn cheerful! I know there's more to him than that, but that sunny disposition of his is hard for me to see past.

At some point I'm going to have to lay out exactly what's going on with the band's tour, though I hope it's a bit clearer now...Politics is the only semi-logical thing I could think of to explain the insanity away. XD
