Diversion

I don't know if I'm the only person who does this, but when I am being fannish over certain series, I tend to try to connect the dots between the characters (of two-plus shows at a time) and make vast, leaping, strange conclusions about what it would be like if so-and-so from series A were to be somehow transplanted into series B, taking the place of whats-his-name.

Case in point: I've been having a marvelous time re-visiting the strange world of Sailor Moon--specifically the rpg made for the SNES--and I can't help wondering what it would be like to have the majors and minors from Weiss playing those roles. Cracktastic, I know, but endlessly entertaining! XD

Here's the casting so far:

Mercury--Omi
Mars--Ran
Venus--Yohji (come on, doesn't the idea of him manfully shouting "Venus Love-Me Chain!" get you laughing?)
Jupiter--Ken
Uranus--Farfarello
Neptune--Schuldig
Saturn--Nagi (all the crazy angst and the power to destroy the world...)
Pluto--Crawford

And then I kinda flailed around, because my brain broke when I thought that Aya-chan needed to be Sailor Moon herself, and that Tuxedo Mask should be original-flavor Persia. I don't even want to think about who might be slotted as Chibi-moon.


....Also, I considered briefly the idea of Saiyuki characters doing the same thing. (Lirin as chibi-moon, Kougaiji as Sailor Moon, and therefore Doku as Tuxedo. Gah! @_@ )

Oh, the humanity! The sailor suits with their very short skirts! Strange battles with even stranger enemies!

Not that I would ever do such a thing, but the thought, it plagues me...
