Random Fannish thought of the day...

So I'm re-reading the Sookie Stackhouse books, and all of a sudden, my brain twigs onto the idea that the basic premise ought to be hijacked/rebooted with Saiyuki characters. Gojyo, the slightly-psychic waiter at the bar! Hakkai, the kind-of-old-fashioned not-really-human vampire! Uh...Sanzo and Goku as Other Key Characters!

Okay, so it wasn't a fully formed idea, but it still tickles my fancy!
